One Child + One Week of Summer Camp = One Changed Life
This summer, young Next Generation Christians from Vladikavkaz will travel to Grozny, Chechnya to hold an evangelistic summer camp for children and teenagers. Over the past few years, these camps have demonstrated the wideness of God's mercy, and have helped these believers connect with Muslim families.
An Angry young man
Muslims in Russia ofter encounter discrimination and isolation, and sadly, this pushes some to embrace radical Islam—like fourteen-year-old Ayub from Chechnya.
An angry teenager, Ayub was ready to become a suicide bomber and die for radical Islam. He hated Christianity, and other people's beliefs distressed and irritated him. Then Ayub came to one of Russian Ministries' evangelistic summer camps in Grozny, Chechnya.
face-to-face with jesus' love
At camp Ayub came face-to-face with young Next Generation Christians who lived out their faith. He listened to their songs and prayers to Jesus, and experienced a true crisis of faith. On the one hand, Ayub wanted to fight and oppose everything at camp, but on the other hand he was drawn to the caring camp staff. His hard heart began to soften.
Ayub is still on his journey to faith, but some amazing changes have already taken place in his heart.
This summer Russian Ministries would like to send at least 5,000 children and teenagers across the former Soviet Union to an evangelistic summer camp. There, like Ayub, they can discover God’s love, learn from His Word and begin their journeys of faith.
