Russian Ministries'/ASR Christmas gift outreach helps national Christians in the former Soviet Union give needy children the greatest gift of all… Jesus!
Project Hope is Russian Ministries' program to enable national believers and local churches in the former Soviet Union to share joy, hope, and the message of salvation with needy children—from Arctic Siberia to the war-torn nations of the Northern Caucasus.
With resources provided by Western Christians, national believers fill bright, cheerful gift boxes with toys, candy, stuffed animals, crayons and coloring books—and the life-changing gift of a colorfully-illustrated children's Bible or other children's Christian literature in their own language.
Then, School Without Walls students and graduates distribute the gifts during the
Russian Christmas holiday season that begins on January 7, to children in orphanages, boarding schools, shelters, hospitals, and wherever there is a need in their community.
Every evangelistic gift distribution features a special Christmas program of puppet performances, games, and skits—pointing the children to the greatest gift of all, salvation in Jesus Christ.
And through Project Hope, these young Next Generation Christian leaders, trained by Russian Ministries, build relationships with the children that they'll continue through Russian Ministries' evangelistic summer camp ministry, sports camps, and more. Often, a Project Hope gift is the first step in bringing an entire family to church, where they can grow in their faith in Christ.
This Christmas, Russian Ministries hopes to raise enough funds from caring Western Christians to reach 50,000 needy children through the Project Hope gift distribution outreach…and change their lives forever with the good news of the gospel.

"We joyfully prepared a short Christmas program, and headed off for our visit. The party was warm, friendly, and there was a lot of joy, laughter, warm words, and gratitude on the part of the parents for our care for and attention towards their children." –Irma, SWW graduate, Chechnya outreach
"Thank you for the present, especially for the Bible. I will now study harder in school so as to learn all the letters, so that I can read the Bible on my own. And the candy was yummy." –Soslan, 1st grade, North Ossetia
